Seattle, WA - DSFL 6 Radio began its series at Century Link Field for the week 3 thriller between Seattle and Dallas. Both teams came in at 2-0 ranked first and second in defense. But in the fourth quarter, the Seahawks offense was the late game story.

The Cowboys could not take advantage of a scorching hot Emmitt Smith down the stretch of the game, either. He ran five times for 70 yards in the first half, then ran five times for 17 yards in the second half. The issue may have been his nine fewer attempts than predecessor Marshawn Lynch. With Emmitt Smith out of rhythm and the offense stalling inside the Seattle red zone, Dallas leads by only a field goal mid-way through the fourth quarter.

That is when Seattle’s Russell Wilson, who had thrown for a modest 6.8 yards per attempt to that point, launches a 76 yard touchdown pass to lift the Seahawks into the win column. The sputtering Cowboys offense had one ensuing possession which ended with a Troy Aikman interception.

This game may have been a playoff preview. But at the least, Seattle and Dallas proved that they are both real contenders out of the NFC. Earlier today, 3-0 Philadelphia nearly lost to winless Cincinnati and 3-0 Detroit survived a late rally from Arizona. In many eyes, Seattle is the undefeated team that had the most impressive week 3 performance out of this conference.
