DSFL 7: Week 8 Recap

Buffalo’s 15 point comeback win shakes up the AFC playoff race

After their win on Sunday, the 1990 Bills are just one game back of a wild card playoff spot.

The problem is that nine other teams (including 4 more in the AFC) are in the same exact position.

Let’s check out the three best games from week 8.

Worst to First

Green Bay, WI - The 1996 Packers (4-3) are the new NFC North leaders after their back-and-forth
battle against Minnesota on Sunday. With 1:15 remaining, the Vikings took a 21-20 lead on a 92
touchdown pass from Randall Cunningham to Jake Reed. Green Bay swiftly responded with a 7
play, 66 yard drive capped by the game winning field goal from Chris Jacke.

Bills comeback down 15 on DSFL Redzone

Orchard Park, NY - A massive 2nd half comeback against Houston is nothing new for the 1990’s
Bills. The Bills erased a 32 point deficit in the 1992 AFC Wildcard round and would erase another
huge deficit on DSFL redzone today. Trailing by 15, the defense turned things around with a
scoreless 2nd half. The game was sealed with a 4th down tackle from Hall of Famer Bruce Smith.

Eddie George runs Titans into AFC South lead

Nashville, TN - The 1999 Titans (3-4) have many great players but Eddie George is their most
important player. With the Titans down 7 at halftime, Eddie George took control of the game with
9 carries for 112 yards in a dominant second half. That performance seemed to fuel everyone in
a Tennessee uniform, as they came back to beat Jacksonville, 28-21.
