DSFL 7: Week 6 Recap
Down goes Carolina, the league’s last undefeated team
Until today, the 2015 Panthers were the last team standing at 4-0.
After the Carolina loss, we have a brand new season and everybody has a chance.
Let’s check out the three best games from week 6.
Game 1: Buccaneers 19, Panthers 17
Ryan Succop hands Carolina its first loss
Tampa, FL - Ryan Succop was 4-for-4 on field goals today. His 57 yarder to close the first half tied
Denver’s Jason Elam for the longest make by a kicker this year. But it was his much shorter 38 yard
kick that sent shock waves across the league, as it helped deliver Carolina its first loss of the
season. If the 2020 Bucs (4-2) have that type of kicking all season, this team will be dangerous.

Another Patriots home loss
Game 2: Titans 27, Patriots 24
Foxboro, MA - The 2007 Patriots (4-2) are making a habit of losing home games. But unlike the
Atlanta loss, the kicker wasn’t to blame here. Tom Brady found Randy Moss for what looked like
the game winning touchdown with 1:50 remaining. But Steve McNair helped carry the lowly Titans
with 296 yards passing and the clinching score to Rodney Thomas.
Game 3: Falcons 23, Bears 21
Atlanta defeats the 1985 Bears
Atlanta, GA - In a year full of upsets, this might be one of the craziest. Not only did the Falcons win,
but they had a comfortable lead for the first three quarters. Chicago jumped in front on an 11 yard
jet sweep to Willie Gault, but Chris Chandler wasn’t phased. He guided Atlanta on two long drives
in the 4th quarter and converted one of them into points, which was all they needed in a 23-21 win.
