Game 2: Rams 27, Vikings 21 (OT)
Minneapolis, MN - The finish to this game won’t soon be forgotten. Randall Cunningham and the
1998 Vikings (2-3) converted two fourth downs on an 11 play, 54 yard drive to force overtime. The
Vikings would then begin overtime with a brutal 3 & out and never get the ball back. The following
Rams possession was 8 plays, 72 yards, and a walk-off 28 yard touchdown from Warner to Proehl.
Game 3: 49ers 24, Falcons 21 (OT)
San Francisco evades an overtime scare

overtime battle. Atlanta’s Chris Chandler threw two long 4th quarter touchdowns to force overtime
but could do very little after that. Meanwhile, the 1989 49ers (4-1) finally broke through on its 3rd
drive of overtime, capped by the game-winning 42 yard kick from Mike Cofer.
