DSFL 7: Week 2 Recap
The Bears play host to Pittsburgh on DSFL 7 Radio
The Thursday Night spotlight was on Chicago for the debut of DSFL 7 Radio.
Walter Payton was just one of the many great performers from this weekend.
Let’s check out the three best games from week 2.
Game 1: Bears 21, Steelers 14
Walter Payton wills Chicago to 2nd straight win
Chicago, IL - Fresh off of his dominant performance at the Packers, Walter Payton was even better
versus the Steel Curtain. 16 carries for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. The second score arrived with
just 30 seconds left in the game. Tied at 14, the Bears appeared to be running out the clock. That’s
where Payton bounced outside and outran the defense for the 74 yard clinching touchdown.

Carolina blanks Atlanta in 2nd half
Game 2: Panthers 10, Falcons 9
Atlanta, GA - Carolina stays unbeaten with a tight 10-9 victory at the Falcons on Sunday. After the
game, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera emphasized it as a “team win” with “help from everybody".
While that may be true, the team leaned on quarterback Cam Newton and linebacker Luke Kuechly
during their 2nd half comeback. The Panthers erased a 9-0 deficit to defeat their division rival.
Game 3: Broncos 27, Browns 24
Another whirlwind 4th quarter for the 1998 Broncos
Denver, CO - Nobody would have blamed the Broncos for a loss on Sunday. The team was reeling
all week, following their historic collapse in Cincinnati. Fast forward to today and Denver was down
again, 24-10 vs Cleveland with 2:18 remaining. The Broncos outgained Cleveland 135 yards to 11 and
won the game, 27-24. Denver did not commit a single penalty in the win.
