DSFL 7: Week 13 Recap

Denver @ Kansas City becomes early favorite for Game of the Year

Plenty of points in Kansas City and all over the league during an exciting week 13 of the Greatest Teams Season.

Additionally, only one team (1991 Lions) have been mathematically eliminated from playoffs..

Let’s check out the three best games from week 13.

Instant classic between Elway and Mahomes

Kansas City, MO - We all knew that John Elway and Patrick Mahomes were going to score some
points. But very few could have imagined that their teams would score 79 points combined.
This all-time classic football game also had 946 yards and ten touchdowns, the last was scored
with 14 seconds left by Terrell Davis. Even for Mahomes, that was too much to overcome.

Jacksonville hangs in the AFC South race

Jacksonville, FL - This was a must-win football game for a couple of 4-7 teams. Matt Schaub did
his part with 336 yards and 2 touchdowns, But Jacksonville erased a 4th quarter deficit with big
contributions from everywhere. Mark Brunell threw three TD passes, Alvis Whitted brought back a
kickoff 102 yards for a touchdown, and Carnell Lake clinched the win with a late interception.

Russell Wilson outduels Joe Montana

Seattle, WA - Joe Montana passes for 413 yards against the Legion of Boom, which is arguably
greatest defense ever assembled. Even then, his heroics weren’t enough. In fact, Montana was
outdueled by Russell Wilson who had a perfect 158.3 QB rating. Wilson averaged 19 yards per
attempt in the Seattle win. If he keeps this up, the 2013 Seahawks should make the playoffs.
