DSFL 7: Week 12 Recap

Flurry of overtime games in the craziest DSFL season yet

Another four overtimes in a wild week 12 of the Greatest Teams Season.

With their Monday Night comeback, the 2009 Saints joined San Francisco and Indianapolis with 2 OT wins this year.

Let’s check out the three best games from week 12.

Kurt Warner humiliates Titans defense

Nashville, TN - In one of the greatest passing performances in DSFL history, Hall of Famer Kurt
Warner willed the Cardinals to a critical road win against Tennessee. Kurt Warner passed for
419 yards and 4 touchdowns, including the game winner to Steve Breaston in overtime. Eddie
George was the Titans’ only answer for Kurt Warner, and ultimately even George wasn’t enough.

Brandon Manumaleuna makes game changing catch

San Diego, CA - The 2006 Chargers (6-5) are in the middle of an incredible comeback against
the division rival Chiefs. Just 8 yards away from overtime, the San Diego offense stalls. Their best
player this season, Antonio Gates, is out of gas and so is most of the offense. In the biggest play
of the game, backup tight end Brandon Manumaleuna becomes the hero. Chargers win 27-24.

The Sequel of Brady vs Brees

New Orleans, LA - We just saw Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady outgun Drew Brees, 38-35. One week
later, Drew Brees had a chance at redemption against the better version of Brady leading the
2007 Patriots. After a critical pick six with 3:27 remaining, Brees was flawless the rest of the way.
Over the final 3 drives (all ended in points), Brees was 8-for-13, 162 yards, and 1 TD.
