DSFL 7: Week 10 Recap
Thursday Night Football returns with a dramatic battle in San Francisco
Thursday Night Football is back for the next six weeks of the season (none for week 17).
If the upcoming matchups compare to Bears @ 49ers, we are in for a fantastic regular season finish.
Let’s check out the three best games from week 10.
Game 1: Bears 20, 49ers 17
Potential NFC Championship Game Preview
San Francisco, CA - The 1985 Bears (6-3) and 1989 49ers (7-2) have played like two of the best
teams in the DSFL 7. In their lone regular season meeting, both clubs appeared evenly matched.
In fact, the entire game was inevitably decided by just two plays in the 3rd quarter: Dave
Duerson’s endzone interception and the ensuing 90 yard Walter Payton run.

17 point comeback
Game 2: Jets 20, Jaguars 17 (OT)
East Rutherford, NJ - The 1968 Jets (3-6) haven’t had much to cheer about this season. So when
Jim Turner nailed a game-winning 37 yard field goal, it felt like New York was a Super Bowl
champion again. In a tale of two halves, New York overcame a 17-0 deficit behind timely defense
and a Hall of Fame effort out of Don Maynard. His 122 yards vs Jacksonville is a new season best.
Game 3: Redskins 35, Broncos 28
Redskins offense erupts against Denver
Washington D.C. - The 1991 Redskins (4-5) still rank 27th in offense and dead last in 3rd down
percentage. But for one afternoon, they put it all together against Denver. Quarterback Mark
Rypien averaged nearly 18 yards per attempt and Gary Clark had his first multi-touchdown
game of the season. John Elway did his best but it ultimately wasn’t enough.
